Shooting for 1 second will still reduce the health of Barbed Wire, so it will only take a single melee swing to destroy it afterwards. It will now take half of a canister to destroy a single Barbed Wire (approximately 2 seconds). Maverick is currently too good at removing the Defender’s Barbed Wire.
- Increase the amount of time and damage required for the Blowtorch to destroy Barbed Wire.
- Ubisoft is just chasing the almighty dollar, and nothing else.We have been closely monitoring feedback on the Test Server for Operation Grim Sky, and will be making the following adjustments. I'd love to see something more akin to classic R6 myself, but that's never going to happen, unfortunately. I would love to buy this and support Rainbow 6, but it's literally nothing to do with Rainbow 6 in any way. Have you played Rainbow 6 before? There are no supplies, or rescuing operators at all. It's trying to spin Siege's success into another game, and Siege was riding on the popularity of the Rainbow 6 name. It's not about Rainbow 6 in anyway at all. There's no Ding Chavez, no Dieter Weber, no John Clark. And if your operator dies? You lose access to them until they're rescuedĪll of the gameplay videos seem to be from the same map, but this mentions 12 different objective types: įWIW, the reason I'm out is because this is nothing like Rainbow 6. Specifically, no regenerating health, limited supplies and an emphasis on coordination and stealth. It's a class-based, PvE, co-op shooter that retains some elements from classic Rainbow 6 games. I hope they'll show us a roadmap like in Siege with the plans for Year 1, etc around the time of release.Īnyone else interested in this besides a few of the Division 2 folks? The quotes in the title are for those of you who can't get over the alien enemies They went from offering a yearly pass (~$30) with 8 Ops + 10% discount on all purchases (in-game or real currency), and some other stuff to quarterly battle-pass (~$15?) that unlocks 1 Operator and no discounts. Siege already has limited time events with items that cost a lot to pick up all the exclusives. Will keep an eye on it, but I'm worried about Ubi's monetization plans.

I did have fun with the Outbreak event when they initially did this and the just-finished React event showed that the devs have better learned how to balance melee tanks vs. Lorewise, looks like it's all Rainbow and no Nighthaven. Pulse seems the least useful of any of the FBI ops like I can see using Castle to block off other flanking passages, Thermite to open hard walls (do they exist?), Ash for the Carl Gustav spam. Not sure how IQ or Jager would be useful. Little curious about the ops included though. I was going to complain about the lack of Ash ACOG but it seems like they dropped Ash completely Now I'm kinda sad that I threw my 360 out.

Just a mess.įor years after the release of Rainbow Six: Vegas, I'd pop my Xbox 360 copy in every so often, load some casino level, and chuck a grenade into a room full of slot machines. It even felt disconnected to the prior game. Mechanically superior, I guess, but a worse game in every other respect. It felt like a way more generic shooter in every way. I loved it every time I had to stack up on a door, with bad guys and hostages on the other side. Those moments were kinda rare, but they felt really good and really Rainbow Six. You still had to do some dynamic entries with hostages.
Great setting that was lots of fun (assaulting down the Las Vegas Strip and then blowing a hole in a casino wall was amazing) and it also felt like it more or less was a Rainbow Six game. Rainbow Six: Vegas pretty much had it all.
